Spencer & I keep it simple on Valentine’s Day – I love it, because it’s a week before my birthday and I’m obsessed with pink so I love all the decor! But we have never gone out to dinner on Valentine’s Day. We usually keep it low key and do something at home – he will usually get me flowers and a card, or a gift to open in the morning, depending on the day we have gotten the heart shaped biscuits at Chick-fil-A and had brunch, then we have a tradition of eating pizza for dinner 🙂
When we were dating, we were long distance – Spencer was in Indiana and I was in Tennessee. We hadn’t known each other very long and weren’t going to be together for it, so Spencer had a pizza delivered to my house in Nashville. Since then, we’ve had a pizza dinner every Valentine’s Day. One year we ordered a heart shaped pizza, tried to make our own pizza (key word *tried), or incorporated pizza at some level for our Valentine’s dinner.
If you are ballin’ on a budget, here are some free ideas for Valentine’s Day!
