Spencer & I keep it simple on Valentine’s Day – I love it, because it’s a week before my birthday and I’m obsessed with pink so I love all the decor! But we have never gone out to dinner on Valentine’s Day. We usually keep it low key and do something at home – he will usually get me flowers and a card, or a gift to open in the morning, depending on the day we have gotten the heart shaped biscuits at Chick-fil-A and had brunch, then we have a tradition of eating pizza for dinner 🙂
When we were dating, we were long distance – Spencer was in Indiana and I was in Tennessee. We hadn’t known each other very long and weren’t going to be together for it, so Spencer had a pizza delivered to my house in Nashville. Since then, we’ve had a pizza dinner every Valentine’s Day. One year we ordered a heart shaped pizza, tried to make our own pizza (key word *tried), or incorporated pizza at some level for our Valentine’s dinner.
If you are ballin’ on a budget, here are some other ideas for Valentine’s Day!
However you celebrate Valentine’s Day, remember not to compare your day to anyone else, and focus on the love you and your partner share and remember why you love them <3
