Here are my Top 5 baby apps that helped me during my pregnancy and as a new mom. Bonus – they are all FREE!
1. BabyCenter
Join a virtual birth club
DOWNLOAD HERE
This is a great app to use during pregnancy where you can join a virtual birth group of other moms who are all due in the same month as you. Use it to ask questions anonymously throughout your whole pregnancy and after your baby is born. You’re all in the same boat! I learned so much from the other ladies, and was able to help other moms by answering their questions. It also shows you week by week what symptoms to be expecting, and how big your baby is and what they are going through in the womb.
2. Baby Tracker
Track your baby’s sleep, diapers, and feeding schedule
DOWNLOAD HERE
DOWNLOAD. THIS. NOW. And have your spouse/SO download it too. This app is a lifesaver. Track your baby’s sleep, diapers, and feeding schedule. If your baby eats 4 oz. at 8am, log it. Then when your baby starts crying an hour or so later, you know how long it’s been since they last ate. Same with diapers and sleep. Track their naps and wake windows. By looking at this you should be able to tell why your baby’s crying and what they need! You can have your spouse download the app and link it to the same account so that if he wakes up with the baby at 2am and you are sleeping, if you wake up with the baby at 4am, you can look at the app and see what your husband did (did he feed the baby? Change the diaper?) This way you won’t have to wake him up to ask. It’s a lifesaver. And free!
3. Baby Names (by Baby Center)
Thousands of baby names
If you’re struggling to decide on a baby name, this app has thousands that you can swipe through. It’s set up similar to Tinder. Swipe left if you don’t like the name suggestion, swipe right if you do! I believe you can have your spouse download it and link it too, so it will tell you which names you both swiped yes on. We didn’t choose a name from it, but it’s fun.
4. Babylist
If you have a registry through Babylist this is a good app to have on your phone.
Make sure to check out my other blog posts on registries here like What to put on your baby registry and How to get free stuff & discounts from your registry!
5. Hatch
Help your baby sleep!
DOWNLOAD HERE
I would highly recommend getting the Hatch sound machine! We have the Hatch Plus and the Hatch mini! Even if you don’t have a baby, this would be a great sound machine & light! We use the Hatch mini in our bedroom as a white noise machine. With this app it connects to your device over wifi and you can control the white noise sound, volume, light color, and even program it to come on at various times of the day automatically. We use it for sleep and a light at night, and will use the time to rise function once Jett is older.
