1. Grocery & Food Delivery
Grocery delivery is my new favorite thing. I signed up for Instacart, and will order my grocery on Sunday or Monday each week and they will be delivered to my doorstep within a few hours! You can chat with your shopper on the app if items are out of stock or if you forgot something. It also saves your orders in your account, so you can easily order the same thing you did last week. This saves me so much time walking around the grocery store, especially with a new baby! Click here to get $10 off your first order!
Don’t feel like cooking? Me either. Our family uses DashPass for food delivery. This saves me so much time on lunches & dinners when I am not in the mood or have too much going on. My favorite restaurants to order from are McAlister’s & Chick-fil-A. We have access to any local restaurants and a lot of other healthier options too. Click here to get $30 off your first 3 orders ($10 off each of your first 3 orders). If you happen to bank with Chase, they were doing a deal for a free year of DashPass. Check it out & get your time back!
2. Baby Tracker App
If you are a new mom, or mom-to-be, download this app now!!! Have your partner download it too & you can sync it so you can both use the same login. This app lets you track your baby’s diapers, feedings, and sleep. This is a huge help, because usually if your baby is crying, it’s because of one of these 3 things. By looking at the app and seeing how much time has gone by, you should be able to easily figure out what your baby needs.
3. Prepare for the 4th Trimester
I am a planner. I had my bags packed & postpartum recovery area ready by 25-30 weeks of pregnancy in the event my baby decided to make an early arrival. Spoiler alert: he didn’t want to come out, and I had to get induced on my due date. Read Jett’s birth story here.
That being said, I would still recommend to pack your hospital bag early and getting things together for postpartum.
I made a little postpartum recovery area in my bathroom and stocked it with recovery items.
Spoiler alert: I ended up having a C-section, so I didn’t use some of the items, and I decided to formula feed instead of breastfeed so I didn’t use those items either. But, I got a cart and put a cute basket on top to keep all the pads and supplies together. On the bottom shelf I had all the breastfeeding stuff I had stocked up on, and the other shelf I had stretchy maternity underwear that was great for C-section recovery. It was nice to have everything in one place since I used these items daily for a month or two.
I also prepped some freezer meals so I could easily heat something up in the first weeks after having my baby.
